Mark Henry has been working with WWE for over two decades now and the “World’s Strongest Man” has accomplished a lot during his time with WWE. In addition to the numerous championships and long tenure that Henry has had in the company, it looks like he will now be honored as the final member of the WWE Hall of Fame class this year. Wrestling Inc. initially discovered that Henry was revealed as a member of the Hall of Fame this year in the new WrestleMania magazine. Sure enough, PWInsider later confirmed that Henry will indeed be the final inductee announced for the Hall of Fame this year. Mark Henry will be joining the Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Hillbilly Jim, Jeff Jarrett, Kid Rock, Warrior Award recipient Jarius “JJ” Robertson, and Goldberg in the Class of 2018.
It was recently announced that Rey Mysterio has signed with new Lucha Libre promotion Aro Lucha as an in-ring competitor and a co-owner. One would think that this would put to rest all of the rumors of him negotiating with WWE for a possible comeback, but Mysterio could still be on his way to WWE after all. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Mysterio is still having discussions with WWE at the moment despite the recent announcement that he would be joining Aro Lucha. Meltzer says that the original report was blown out of proportion as Mysterio was only set to work a set of tapings. Meltzer claims that Mysterio is not an owner of Aro Lucha at the moment and his talks with WWE are still ongoing.
WWE UK star Tyler Bate just recently suffered a minor knee injury that has unfortunately disqualified himself and Trent Seven from competing in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament on NXT. With an open spot in the tournament available now, it makes sense that some of the NXT members would want to join the tournament. It looks like none other than 205 Live and NXT Superstar Roderick Strong is interested in joining the tournament now. He recently posted a message on Twitter pleading with General Manager William Regal to let him join this year’s Dusty Classic. Could Roddy be entering this year’s tournament, and if he does, who will his tag team partner be? We should be finding out very soon.
