WWE SmackDown draws lowest ratings for FOX episode

Overnight ratings are in for last night’s SmackDown on FOX, and the show averaged 2.192 million viewers. 

That’s down 4.9 percent from last week, which had been the previous overnight low for a FOX episode since SmackDown debuted on the channel in October. It was the least-viewed show on the major networks last night. Only a repeat of NBC’s The Blacklist came close at 2.321 million. 

In the 18-49 demo, SmackDown averaged a 0.6 rating for the third straight week, which is also a series low for a FOX episode. Among original network programming, that only beat Dateline NBC.

Similarly in the 18-34 demo, the show averaged a 0.4 rating for the fourth straight week, again matching the lowest number it has done on FOX. It tied CBS’ Magnum PI for the best number on network TV in that category.

The show averaged 2.239 million viewers in hour one and fell to 2.145 million in the second hour.
