Hulk Hogan/WWE Update, Enzo is Not All In, New WWE Signee

After spending over three years away from the company, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was backstage during last night’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Although Hogan’s WWE status has still not been confirmed as of yet, it was reported that he had not yet signed any sort of deal with the company. It has now also just been reported by PWInsider that Hogan is returning to his Florida home now and will not be in attendance for Raw later tonight or Smackdown tomorrow night. Meanwhile, the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez alerted fans on Twitter that “The Hulkster’s” meeting with the WWE talent and officials from yesterday was filmed and will be featured in an upcoming special on the WWE Network.

One individual who has continued to make a name for himself outside of WWE is Enzo Amore. Amore is now primarily focused on launching his rapping career, but he has taken a few wrestling gigs for various promotions over the past few weeks. With that in mind, some fans believe that the former Cruiserweight Champion would be a perfect fit for the huge All In event that is being created by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks, but it has now been confirmed that Enzo will not be involved in the show this fall. Cody recently took to Twitter to plainly state to fans that Amore will not be competing or even making any sort of appearance during the All In event on September 1st.

We’re not.

WWE has confirmed six of the names who will be involved in the Mae Young Classic tournament this year as of right now, however, there are still plenty of spots available that have not been announced yet. After Japanese sensation Io Shirai was reportedly disqualified from last year’s show due to a medical issue, WWE recently hired her and have now scheduled her for this year’s show. That also now appears to be the case for Lacey Lane who, according to Lucha Central, has just signed a deal to join WWE. Lane is a Lucha Libre star who was trained by WWE Hall of Famers The Dudley Boyz. She was offered a deal by the company last year, but she later admitted that WWE rescinded the deal after arthritis was found in her knee.
