Rousey Reponds to Fine, MLW Tag Match, Young Told to Talk Less

Over the past couple of weeks, Ronda Rousey has gone off the deep end. She has begun to insult fans, break kayfabe, and attack the members of the women’s division over on Raw. For her actions on last week’s episode of Raw, WWE announced yesterday that she has been fined in storyline. Earlier today, Rousey responded to WWE’s decision and seems to have no regrets about the choices that she has made. Rousey will be in action tonight and will defend the Raw Women’s Championship against Dana Brooke, who she beat down last week. It is likely that she will respond to the matter again on Raw tonight. If Rousey is victorious in her match this evening, she will defend the title against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 35 as scheduled.

Major League Wrestling has just announced an upcoming match that sounds like it could be very entertaining to see. The promotion has confirmed that there will be a huge tables match between The Hart Foundation and The Dynasty. It’s a six man-tag team bout with Teddy Hart, Brian Pillman Jr., and Davey Boy Smith Jr. facing MJF, Richard Holliday, and Alex Hammerstone. That match will be taking place during MLW’s Rise of the Renegades in the Melrose Ballroom over in New York. The show takes place on April 4th over the week of WrestleMania 35, and it is one out of several shows that will occur in the area that week. This could prove to be an intriguing match between two of the top teams in MLW right now.

WWE announced last year that Renee Young would be joining the commentary team permanently on Raw. Young being added to the team was a huge deal at the time because it marked the first time ever that Raw had a full time female announcer. Since then, Young has continued to call Raw and a couple of WWE pay-per-views. During the latest episode of her Regular Girls podcast, Young talked about some The the advice that she has received since joining the announce team. Young said that one of her biggest challenges has been talking less. While working with Tom Phillips and Vic Joseph on her commentary skills, Young was advised not to speak as much and simply observe the action more. Given Young’s history in broadcasting, she said that speaking less was a true issue for her at first.
“They’ll give me pointers, et cetera, and it’s extremely beneficial to me. But yeah, that was kind of the note where they’re like ‘You don’t have to talk as much as you think you need to talk. Maybe just sit back and listen a little bit.’ I was like, ‘Okay,’ and that’s really no east task for me. I’m so used to being like, the talker, and keeping the ball afloat. So when I don’t have that ball, to keep it afloat, I think that’s an uncomfortable spot for me and then I end up, just like… diarrhea of the mouth because I don’t have a firm grasp on what’s happening.” said Young.
