Brian Christopher Investigation Concludes, Stable Coming to Raw?

It was confirmed last year that Brian Christopher was found dead in his jail cell after spending time there due to a DUI charge. Christopher is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, and wrestling fans may know him for his run as Grandmaster Sexay. Along with Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty, Christopher rose in popularity as part of the Too Cool stable during WWE’s ‘Attitude Era.’ It was certainly tragic when the news regarding his death was broken as it also occurred on the same day that Hall of Famer Nikolai Volkoff passed away. Christopher was allegedly found hanging in his jail cell, so his death has been reported as a suicide. However, an ongoing investigation into the matter has called that ruling into question.
The investigation relating to the death of Brian Christopher has now come to an end. According to a report from PWInsider, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation concluded its research and have turned over all of their findings to District Attorney General Mark Davidson. As of right now, the results of the investigation have not been made public. After Christopher passed away, Lawler questioned the circumstances surrounding his son’s death. Lawler said that he had spoken with people in the jail on the day Christopher died, and he added that he doesn’t believe that his son took his own life last year. Christopher was 46 when he passed away, and he had been dealing with legal and sobriety issues prior to his death.
As seen during last night’s episode of Raw, Rey Mysterio and Andrade have been moved to the Raw brand. The two of them have a brief feud on SmackDown earlier this year, but they may be teaming up together on Monday nights soon. According to PWInsider, WWE does still have plans for Mysterio and Andrade to form a team. The idea is reportedly for Andrade, Mysterio, and Sin Cara to be part of a new stable. The group is supposedly being formed to take the place of The Shield, which disbanded weeks ago. Roman Reigns is expected to move to SmackDown tonight, Seth Rollins will continue to be a top star on Raw, and Dean Ambrose will be leaving WWE at the end of the month. Expect to see this new stable on Raw very soon.
