After the NCAA announcement of at-large bids this afternoon, the Gophers know they will have eight wrestlers competing at the NCAA Championships in Pittsburgh.

All eight punched their ticket by placing high enough at the Big Ten Championships. That group included Sean Russell, Ethan Lizak, Mitch McKee, Tommy Thorn, Steve Bleise, Carson Brolsma, Devin Skatzka, and Gable Steveson.

Seeding and brackets will be revealed on Wednesday, March 13.

Last season the Gophers only had seven grapplers qualify and Lizak was the only to place as an All-American. The last time the Gophers sent at least eight wrestlers was during the 2016-17 season when nine wrestlers qualified.

The NCAA Championships will be held at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh from March 21-23.
