While being careful to say the “next” Dynamite due to uncertainties surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, AEW announced two new matches for their next show on TNT.

The headliner will feature The Elite (Cody Rhodes, Matt Jackson, AEW tag team champions Kenny Omega & Hangman Page) and the debuting Matt Hardy taking on The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Santana, Ortiz, and Jake Hager) in a Blood & Guts match, a War Games-style encounter with two rings and two cages.

Hardy appeared at the end of Wednesday’s Dynamite and was announced as joining ther short-handed Elite in the match, replacing Nick Jackson who was injured in storyline following last week’s attack by The Inner Circle. In real life, he and his wife are awaiting the birth of their third child.

They will also be at a disadvantage as an Inner Circle member will enter the cage first, maintaining a one-man advantage until all ten men are in the ring. They gained the advantage Wednesday as Rhodes, Jackson, and Page lost a six-man tag to Hager, Santana and Ortiz.

These matches were also added to the show:

Wardlow vs. Luchasaurus lumberjack match: There was no storyline build-up for this match, but there is a slight tie in in that MJF doesn’t like the Jurassic Express and his team The Butcher & The Blade lost to the Express this week while he was watching at ringside.
Lucha Bros vs. Best Friends parking lot fight: On Wednesday’s show, the Friends lost to the Bros cleanly. Trent called out Pentagon Jr and Ray Fenix in a promo afterward and challenged them to a parking lot fight.

The announce team, the graphics, and even Trent were very careful to say the “next” Dynamite throughout the show. While AEW has said they will be doing closed set Dynamites for the foreseeable future, a change in policy by either the state of Florida or the U.S. government could prevent that from happening.
