Bulgaria lost the continental qualification hold in Sofia. Despite having one opportunity to qualify for the Olympics, Bulgarian Federation lays off Radostin Stoychev.
In response to the information, Matey Kazisky threatens that he perhaps will resigns for playing in the national team. Moreover, Vladimir Nikolov clearly blames Stoychev for the last failure, but in the same time claiming that the dismissal of the coach is illogical.
According to Bulgarian medias, Vladimir Nikolov (the captain of Bulgaria) sharply criticized his coach Radostin Stoychev. Not only did he undermined a way of working preferred by Stoychev, but he also stigmatized his manner- Stoychev is a typical workaholic who worked 20 hours per day, hardly slept. He showed typical features of insomnia – poor concentration, irritability. Every mentioned features in combined with his perfectionism made that cooperation with him was extremely hard– Nikolov claimed.
The major mistake, made by Stoychev, was lack of rest during so long and exhausting tournament. Probably, this the reason why he made the most irrational decision in the match against Germany. He substituted Matey Kazisky in the 3-rd set, who has been playing the best game in the national team since 2007 (obtaining 85% efficiency in attack)– Nikolov added.

However, the player of Piacenza admitted that the attempt of employment of a new coach before Olympics seems not to be justified – There is no logical justification to change our coach in the mid-season .Obviously, someone had to pay for this semi-final defeat. Players cannot be replaced, so it was decided to release the trainer. We all played in the qualifications as our coach as we players–Nikolov summed up.
After the confusion, Matey Kazisky claimed that he may resign to playing in the Bulgarian National Team.
As it turn out, it is not the end of the ridiculous and poor story. A new candidate of the post of Bulgaria’s coach, Silvano Prandi, did not accept an offer from Dancho Lazarov (the president of Bulgarian Federation) and it appears that Stoychev and Lazarov will have to shake hands and apologize to each other. The question is what about Vladimir Nikolov, who criticized Stoychev so much.
