Lost Dog Sings In Truck After Being Reunited With Owner: Video

NORTH FORK, NY — In perhaps the cutest video of all time, Blu, a missing dog who was found safe in Peconic this week, sings happily in the truck, thrilled to be reunited with his owner.

Blu, a 3-year-old gray and white male pit bull, Blu, who was missing since Tuesday, was found locked up in the loft of a barn where his owner, Nathan Uys, already had checked.

“I’m over the moon,” Uys said. “My heart was so heavy, but now I feel like I’m alive again. My best friend is back.”

Uys, who is from out of town and lives in Kentucky and Tennessee, has been in Peconic pursuing his work as a farrier. On Tuesday, he was at a barn on Indian Neck Lane in Peconic when his beloved pooch went missing.

Aside from one sighting Tuesday evening on Stillwater Avenue in Cutchogue, Blue hadn’t been spotted again until Thursday.

“I’m devastated,” Uys said Thursday, when his beloved four-legged friend went missing. “I spent the entire night looking for him and I’m back at it this morning.”

His dog, he said, loves treats. “He is super gentle and loves people. If you call him by his name he will come to you. I call him ‘Blu Dog.'”

But it was a happy ending for Uys, with Blu back happily by his side.

And, watching the video of his singing pup that’s captured scores of hearts, Uys said, “He sure is adorable. He’s such a great dog. I can’t thank everyone enough for what they did to find him.”
